This summer, hundreds of campers will arrive at Camp Watia ready for confidence, friendships, and life-changing memories.
Before they do — we need you.
This is your chance to help prepare Camp Watia for an unforgettable summer as we celebrate 10 years of life-changing camp experiences!
Join us for an afternoon of hands-on service, teamwork, and stewardship as we get camp ready to welcome hundreds of campers. Your effort will directly shape the environment where kids build confidence, friendships, and lifelong memories.
What You’ll Be Doing
Volunteers will jump into meaningful, visible projects including:
- Grounds Clean-Up: Picking up sticks, leaves, and debris across camp property, including cabin areas, trails, and common spaces.
- Landscaping Support: Mulching, light raking, weeding, and refreshing landscaped areas around key program spaces.
- Cabin Prep: Sweeping out cabins, wiping down surfaces, organizing supplies, and helping prepare spaces for camper arrival.
- Trail & Outdoor Space Maintenance: Clearing small branches from walking paths and ensuring safe access to activity areas.
- Painting & Staining (as needed): Assisting with light touch-up painting or staining projects under staff supervision.
- General Beautification Projects: Helping with small projects that enhance the overall appearance and readiness of camp.
Every task contributes to creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for families.
Why It Matters
Camp doesn’t just “open” for summer — it’s built by the community.
Your service ensures campers arrive to a space that feels cared for, prepared, and ready for transformation.
When you volunteer, you’re not just cleaning up grounds — you’re investing in confidence, character, and connection for the youth we serve.
Who Can Serve?
All ages are welcome!
Minors must be accompanied by a guardian while on property.
