Description

The Valley Hope Foundation is coordinating a repair project to restore key structural areas of a local home in Old Fort, and volunteers are needed to help bring the project back to life.

This project will focus on removing and replacing damaged sub-flooring and finish flooring, as well as repairing a cracked sidewalk that is currently allowing water to collect near the home’s foundation. Addressing these issues will help protect the home and improve safety for the family living there.

Volunteer Roles

Volunteers will assist with:

  • Removing damaged sub-floor and finish flooring

  • Installing new sub-floor and flooring sections

  • Assisting with repair and replacement of a cracked front sidewalk

  • Supporting site preparation and cleanup

  • Working alongside the project team to ensure repairs are completed safely and efficiently

This opportunity is best suited for volunteers comfortable with hands-on construction or repair work.

Why Your Help Matters

Repairs like these can take weeks without enough helping hands. When volunteers show up ready to serve, projects move faster and families regain stability sooner.

By volunteering your time and skills, you will help ensure this home is safer, stronger, and better protected for the future.

This is a powerful opportunity to use your abilities to make a tangible and lasting difference for a family in Western North Carolina.
