About the event
Join Asheville GreenWorks and OnHaywood for a cleanup of the Haywood Road corridor in West Asheville. Breakfast and post cleanup rewards will be provided to volunteers.

Is this a family-friendly event?
Yes, although please consider that Haywood Road is a busy street and it is important that you and your children stay alert and safe throughout the clean up.
Asheville GreenWorks will supply
- Gloves (We do not have child size gloves.)
- Safety vests
- Trash grabbers
- Trash bags for everyone.
What will volunteers do?
What is a Haywood Road Clean Up Day?
A quarterly cleanup where volunteers work to pick up trash and recycling along the Haywood Road corridor.
How do you participate?
1-RSVP by registering for this project here on POINT
2-Meet at designated supporting local business. (This location will be different each quarter so please double check the address for each individual event.) Breakfast will be ready at 10:00am.
3-Grab some yummy breakfast - provided by local businesses, receive instructions and gear, and head out as a group to pick up of trash along Haywood Road and side streets.
4-Return gear to starting location.
What will volunteers need to bring or wear?
Please dress for the weather in clothing that you feel comfortable walking in. Bring water and any personal items that you need.
Consider bringing: Sunscreen, Snacks, Sunglasses, and a Hat or Buff.
