Bring connection and stability to clients by managing the mailroom. Volunteers distribute mail, packages, and checks, as well as voicemail messages left for clients.
You may also hand out resource packets and small essentials like sewing supplies or batteries, helping neighbors stay connected and supported.
We’d love volunteers to join us from 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM, but if that’s too long, you’re welcome to help during either 8:00–11:00 AM or 11:00 AM–1:00 PM. This registration is to sign up for the morning portion of service from 8:00am - 11:00am.
AHOPE is the only day center for people experiencing homelessness in the region. AHOPE provides services including showers, coffee, mail services, and storage of personal belongings for an average 172 people a day.
Above it all, AHOPE is also the first step on the journey back to permanent housing. Volunteers are critical to the successful operation of AHOPE.
