Homeward Bound - Kitchen Volunteer (Full Day)

Support our guests by helping in the AHOPE Day Center kitchen!

Volunteers serve coffee and donated food items (no cooking required), keep the kitchen clean and organized, and create a welcoming environment for everyone who comes through our doors. This role is a great way to provide comfort and care while ensuring the kitchen runs smoothly. 

We’d love volunteers to join us from 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM, but if that’s too long, you’re welcome to help during either 8:00–11:00 AM or 11:00 AM–1:00 PM. This registration is to sign up for a full day of service from 8:00am - 1:00pm.

AHOPE is the only day center for people experiencing homelessness in the region. AHOPE provides services including showers, coffee, mail services, and storage of personal belongings for an average 172 people a day.

Above it all, AHOPE is also the first step on the journey back to permanent housing. Volunteers are critical to the successful operation of AHOPE.
