Project Overview
Habitat for Humanity is seeking YMCA volunteers to support a critical disaster recovery project for a local homeowner. Volunteers will assist with a full house clean-out for a disaster repair client. This work is an essential first step in the repair process and will allow Habitat’s team to safely assess and restore the home.
What You’ll Be Doing
Volunteers will help remove clutter and household items from the home, including clothing and general belongings. The work is hands-on and physically demanding, involving lifting, carrying, and extended time on your feet.
Schedule & Logistics

Volunteers will meet at Habitat’s Home Repair Warehouse in the Emma / West Asheville area at 8:30 AM

The shift will run until approximately 3:30 PM, or until the work is complete

Scheduled breaks will be provided throughout the day
What to Bring / Wear

Closed-toe shoes

Comfortable clothing you don’t mind getting dirty

Work gloves (if you have them)
