Volunteer: Build & Repair Homes – No Experience Needed!

Ready to get your hands dirty for something that truly matters?

Join the construction team at Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity and help build safe, affordable housing for families across Asheville and Buncombe County. No prior experience is required — just a willingness to learn and serve.

Shift Options

Full Day: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM (Monday–Thursday & Saturday)

Half Day (AM): 8:30AM - 12:30PM Fridays
Available year-round.

What You’ll Do

Work alongside skilled site supervisors on projects such as:

Framing, siding, painting, and deck building

Installing cabinets and trim

Roofing, drywall, and flooring repairs

Accessibility upgrades and weatherization

Each shift begins with a safety briefing, and all required PPE is provided.

What to Bring

Closed-toe shoes

Comfortable, weather-appropriate work clothes

Personal transportation to the site
