Who We Are

Woodfin Community Garden is a growing neighborhood initiative located in Woodfin, NC, rooted in collaboration, sustainability, and shared care for the land and each other.

We are residents, gardeners, learners, and neighbors who believe that fresh food, green space, and opportunity to connect enriches our lives and strengthens our whole community.

Guided by community input, we work together to cultivate beauty, health, and stewardship across generations and abilities.

What We Do

  • We provide space and support for Woodfin residents to grow their own produce—either in individual garden beds or in shared, communal plots.

  • We share excess harvest with neighbors who might not have reliable access to fresh food, helping address food access in our area.

  • We offer educational opportunities: teaching skills like gardening, composting, nutrition, wildlife habitat, pollinator care, and soil health.

  • We build community by creating a welcoming outdoor place for people to work together, share stories, mentor new gardeners, and engage with neighbors.

  • We collaborate with local organizations, nonprofits, and the town to ensure the garden is accessible to folks of all ages and abilities, and to sustain its operation long-term.
