Who We Are

Homeward Bound WNC is a nonprofit dedicated to ending homelessness in Western North Carolina.

Since 1988, we have worked to ensure housing is recognized as a basic human right and a foundation for dignity and stability.

Our approach follows the proven Housing First model—providing housing first, then pairing it with individualized support services.

What We Do

We help people move from homelessness to housing through programs like Permanent Supportive Housing, Rapid Re-Housing, and our AHOPE Day Center.

Our outreach teams meet people where they are, while our Welcome Home Donation Center provides furniture and essentials for new beginnings.

We also prevent housing loss whenever possible, and our Compass Point Village offers onsite case management, health care, and wraparound services for residents with the highest needs.
